Investor's Business Daily - Bank of America ranked No. 1 among banks in consumer complaints of ID theft, according to Federal Trade Commission data complied by Univ. of Calif. at Berkeley. HSBC had the highest estimated incidence rate in deposits. Wireless firms Sprint Nextel and AT&T also ranked high. The report was based on 88,500 complaints made during Jan., March and Sept. in '06. Target, Sears, Dell, Macy's and Wal-Mart were also in the top 25.
